Madness or Brilliance

Once again, they ricochets like pinballs,

Banging, thunking harshly; metal against glass

They’re harmless; even good, worthy, clever

It’s just they are ill timed, uninvited, like moles

Tunneling ruins or popping up to be whacked down

Like a game at Chuckee Cheese

How to balance

Madness with brilliance?

The necessary struggle

Makes for a worthwhile tale

Like the sailor who embraces the storm;

It makes for a rich tale to tell

When shore is reached
