I am reminded of the fragility of the earth; a crust that I can sink through like a wafer cookie, dissolved as if dunked in hot coffee, we are both liquefied by the frosting at it’s core. Hot sulfur mists from fuming pits, geysers spout, steam envelops the air I am breathing, bubbling pits of mud remind me-other things exist besides me, and they are bigger and more powerful.
